Inspired by the European resorts Walt loved, the Riviera does chandeliers, mosaics, and cypress-lined pool courtyards with a fresh, unstuffy polish. It's Disney's most grown-up-feeling recent build — and being all-villa, every booking gets residential comforts baked in.
Despite the DVC badge, anyone can book it night by night; it functions as a boutique deluxe with kitchens.
Studios to grand villas — plus the tower studios
Deluxe studios through grand villas carry the palette upstairs, many balconies catching both EPCOT and Hollywood Studios fireworks. The compact Tower Studios for two are among the cleverest (and most fairly priced) couples' rooms on property.
Topolino's is worth the trip alone
The Riviera Pool anchors the courtyard with a column-slide, alongside the quiet Beau Soleil pool. Topolino's Terrace on the roof does the character breakfast worth dressing for and a fireworks-view dinner; Primo Piatto handles quick bites; Bar Riva pours spritzes poolside; and Le Petit Cafe turns espresso into an evening wine bar.
Two parks by gondola
The resort's own Skyliner station connects to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios (via the Caribbean Beach hub); buses run to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Disney Springs. Sunset gondola rides home over the lakes are a quiet highlight.
