Disney's Art of Animation Resort

The value resort that thinks it's a theme park — Cars, Nemo, Lion King, and Little Mermaid courtyards so immersive the kids may vote to skip rope drop.

01 · The Vibe

Sleeping inside the sketchbook

Art of Animation drops you into concept art blown up to building size: Radiator Springs re-created around a Cozy Cone pool, Nemo's reef, Simba's savanna, and a Little Mermaid wing. Of every value resort, this is the one where the theming is the vacation — kids treat the courtyards like attractions.

It shares Pop Century's unbeatable location on Hourglass Lake, including the Skyliner station that makes EPCOT and Hollywood Studios evenings effortless.

02 · The Rooms

The family-suite specialists

The headline is the family suites — Cars, Nemo, and Lion King themed, sleeping six across two bathrooms, a master bedroom, and two more sleep spaces, with a kitchenette for breakfast-in-the-room mornings. For parties of five or six they routinely beat the cost of two rooms anywhere else. The Little Mermaid wing offers standard rooms for four at the resort's friendliest rates.

03 · Pools & Food

The biggest pool at Disney World

The Big Blue Pool in the Nemo courtyard is the largest at Walt Disney World, complete with underwater speakers playing music while you float. The Cozy Cone and Flippin' Fins pools give the other courtyards their own splash, and Landscape of Flavors runs a cut above the usual food court, with build-your-own bowls worth crossing the lake for.

04 · Getting Around

Gondolas over the lake

The Skyliner station sits right outside the lobby — EPCOT and Hollywood Studios without a bus in sight. Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom run by direct bus. Pop Century is a five-minute bridge walk away when you want to trade food courts for the night.

MissMe Tip

The family suites are the sleeper deal for parties of five or six — often less than two connecting rooms elsewhere, with two bathrooms doing the real peacekeeping.
