Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

The Victorian flagship — white gingerbread trim, a live pianist under the chandeliers, and Cinderella Castle glittering across the lagoon.

01 · The Vibe

Turn-of-the-century, tuned to today

The Grand Floridian is Disney's dress-up resort: a five-story lobby with an open-cage elevator, orchestra balconies, and staff in Victorian livery. It's grand without being stiff — kids in princess dresses twirl under the chandeliers and nobody blinks.

Location seals it: one monorail stop (or a lakeside walking path) from Magic Kingdom, so you can leave when the fireworks crowd surges and be in a bathrobe before the parking lot clears.

02 · The Rooms

Lagoon views and club levels

Rooms are among the property's largest, many with balconies over the marina or the lagoon — theme-park-view rooms turn the fireworks into room service. Club-level lounges add all-day nibbles and a concierge team, a splurge that lands best here of anywhere on property.

03 · Villa Life Here

The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian

The villa wing brings studios through two-bedrooms — kitchens, laundry, and the same walking path to the castle — with resort-studio layouts that sleep families in flagship style. We book them like any room; no membership needed. For multigenerational celebration trips, this is frequently our first call.

04 · Pools & Dining

From beach pool to the chef's table

The Beach Pool spreads out under palms with a waterslide and an Alice-themed splash area, with the quieter Courtyard Pool by the villas. Dining runs the property's deepest bench: Victoria & Albert's at the top, Citricos and Narcoossee's for celebration dinners, afternoon tea at the Garden View Tea Room, and Gasparilla Island Grill for the 7 a.m. pastry run.

05 · Getting Around

Monorail out the lobby door

Monorail to Magic Kingdom (and to EPCOT with an easy transfer), the walking path for fireworks-night escapes, boats across the lagoon, buses elsewhere. It's the smoothest commute portfolio on property.

MissMe Tip

For proposals, anniversaries, and once-a-decade trips, ask us about theme-park-view rooms and a Victoria & Albert's reservation the day dining opens — both reward planning ahead.
